Panik: News

What's happening now? - October 22, 2007

Plenty!

As Dana and Brandon prepare for the arrival of their little one, work on the new Panik CD will continue. We shall be back really soon ... with a shiny new collection of songs that you've all been waiting for, and perhaps something new for your ears to enjoy!

Thanks to all of you that came out and rocked with us at our last couple of shows. We really appreciate your support and friendship. The time will go by fast, and we'll be back out there before you know it.

Saturday, October 20th - October 12, 2007

It has been confirmed...

Panik's last performance of 2007 will be at the Kennel Club on October 20th. Don't miss out on your last chance to see us this year! Click on Upcoming Chaos for more details.

Once the show is done, we will be going back to the studio to complete work on our new CD. All of your favorites will be here, and perhaps something you've never heard before...you'll have to wait and see.

We hope to see all of you at the Kennel Club!

Update on upcoming shows... - October 5, 2007

Due to the Stoney Inn being sold, our October 13th show there has been cancelled. The club may become a music venue again in the future. We'll have to wait and see.

We are looking at other dates and venues to put on one last show for our local fans before we go into hiding for a while. Keep watching for details on where and when that might be.

Huge thanks to all that came to see us at Toot's Tavern in Crockett! For most of you, it was the first time you've seen us play. We truly appreciate your support.

LAST SHOWS OF THE YEAR!! - September 20, 2007

Panik has just two more shows remaining for 2007. After these shows, we will be hibernating for a while to finish up the new CD - and also welcome a new life into the world. We'll be back in early 2008.

So here are your last chances to party with us in 2007 -

Sept. 30th - a special Bay Area performance at Toot's Tavern in Crockett. (It's that little town on the other side of the Carquinez Bridge) Yes, it's a Sunday, but we're playing at 7:00 PM so everyone can get back home and into bed at a reasonable hour. Or...you can stick around for a while and buy Mike lots of beers.

October 13th at The Stoney Inn in Sacramento. This is the last local performance of 2007. Come celebrate with us! Also on hand will be Shadowbox Theory, Prylosis, and the mighty Iguanadon. Panik will be up second, so y'all don't wanna be late. Once we're done, please stick around and check out the other bands, and buy Mike lots of beers.

For more info on the shows, click on the Upcoming Chaos link.

New CD Coming Soon! - July 6, 2007

Our new CD will soon be a reality. We have already finished the preliminary tracks, and it's time for the fun to begin!

Keep checking back for progress reports.

Here's the deal... - June 11, 2007

First, a big thanks to Blame Betty for inviting us to play On the Y with them on June 8th. We had lots of fun! We'll be rockin' with them again at the Roadhouse on June 23rd!

June 23rd will be our last show for a short spell, as we will finally begin the recording process. We'll be back at it again around the end of Summer. (Unless, of course, something really cool comes our way, then we'll see)

We know you've all been waiting a very long time for a new CD, and there are quite a few songs you've been asking us to record. You never know...you might even get something you've never heard before.

So please join us on June 23rd at the Roadhouse. You'll have a GREAT TIME!

Last Minute Show! - June 4, 2007

We'll be jammin' at On the Y on Friday, June 8th. We'll be opening the show promptly at 9:00, so please be sure to get there early! Click on the "Upcoming Chaos" link for more details.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you that came out and rocked the fair with us! We truly appreciate the support. We had an awesome time. Hopefully we'll get to do that again sometime in the future.

Rockin' the Fair! - May 17, 2007

It's time to give the Sacramento County Fair a good, old fashioned wake-up call, Panik style!

Panik will be performing at the Sac County Fair at Cal Expo on Sunday, May 27th at 11:00 AM. Yeah, it seems early, but this show will give you all the energy you need to last the whole day on the rides and eating the deep-fried Twinkies. (Disclaimer - they may not have deep-fried Twinkies - this is the county fair, not the state fair.)

Here's the good part...entrance to the fair is FREE! On top of that, you can bring your whole family to watch. (Another disclaimer - the fair is free, but parking is not.)

So set the alarm clock, plaster on some sun screen, pack up the family and head on out for some fun at the fair!

Ready to rock again! - April 23, 2007

It's been a while since we've played for you all, so how about May 12th at the Kennel Club? Sound good?

We will be playing 2nd. Other bands performing that evening will be Automatic Rival, Depswa, and Maconium. It'll be a blast!

We hope to see you all there!

YOU RULE! - March 6, 2007

We had an amazing time performing for all of you last weekend. Give it up for Dana, who gave 100% while being sick with a bad sinus infection! Mike was a bit under the weather as well, but still pounded them drums hard! Thanks to all of you who came out and rocked with us.

We'll try and get some new pics posted in the future, courtesy of the amazing Mr. Kevin Graft.

Things to look forward to - We will be out and about again soon - most likely in May. There's also some hints of a new CD!!! Keep watching for more updates.

Panik 2.0 - September 26, 2006

Hello, freaks! You've probably been wondering what we've been up to this summer, eh? Well, we've got some great things to share with you!

First of all, it's time to officially welcome our new bass guy Eric Bedes. He brings a great amount of energy and enthusiasm to our music. We don't have his bio or any pics yet, except for a picture of him on vacation in South Park. You know where to find it, right? That particular photo was taken on a beach. How on earth can a little mountain town in Colorado have a beach? Hmmm...strange things are afoot at the Circle K. Perhaps Eric is an alien - just waiting for the right moment...

We've also been working on some great new songs to unleash upon you. We're ready to start spreading our insanity upon this great land again, so stay tuned for more news, dates, and pictures.

Speaking of pics, check out the new Kennel Club pics, courtesy of Mr. Kevin Graft.

Oh! And don't forget - you can still get our music on iTunes!

See y'all soon!

July 8th show cancelled - July 3, 2006

Due to recent unfortunate events taking place at Hagan Park, Panik will not be performing at the Open Air Live concert. We are sorry if you had made plans to see us perform there. Rest assured, you will have another opportunity to catch us within the next few months.

Stay tuned for more updates.

A Great Time! - June 2, 2006

Thanks to all of you that came out to the Kennel Club on May 26th. We had a blast!

A few new pics from the show have been posted. Click on the Freaks on Film link to check them out. Thanks to Harry Fischer for taking the photos! You rawk!

Friday at the Kennel! - May 23, 2006

Come join us on Friday, May 26th at the Kennel Club in Sacramento! We go on at 8:00 PM, so please get there early.

Joining us will be Larisa Bryski, Absent Me, and Fear the Days. We promise lots of fun for all you freaks out there!

This show is in honor of the recent marriage between Jason Fralish (Brand X Savior) and Ana Marie Sotuela (CABands)...married by none other than Elvis himself in the city of Las Vegas! Congrats, you two!

Upcoming Chaos - April 18, 2006

Yes, fellow fanatics, the time has come for us to take the stage once again. Click on the Upcoming Chaos link over to the right. Yeah over there, it's under the handsome guy inside the hand. See it? More information is forthcoming. Get excited! :-)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! - December 26, 2005

It's hard to believe that Christmas has already come and gone, and 2006 is only days away! Here are Panik's New Year's Resolutions:
Play more shows for you, and give you more new songs!
We're sorry for being gone for so long. We'll be changing that really soon.
Until then, have a joyous holiday season, and thanks so much for stopping by our site and checking us out.

Stay twisted!

American Idol? - October 27, 2005

Guess what! Panik has joined the American Idol craze. Yes, it's true. How "Indy" is that? Hmmm?

Actually, this competition is called American Idol Underground, and it is geared to helping unsigned bands get some recognition. They play the songs online, and you tasty peeps get to judge them!

Go to the American Idol website, do a band search for Panik, listen to the songs and vote!

This is your chance to be a Simon. Do your best...or worst...it's okay, we can take it. So go forth and vote! Be patriotic, or something like that. Be part of history.

Help Us to Help Others - September 2, 2005

It is horrible to see the havoc that Hurricane Katrina wreaked on the gulf coast. Seeing the images of the helpless, stranded people is heartbreaking. Panik wants to help, but we need your help to accomplish this.

Effective immediately, ALL proceeds from purchases of our CD, when purchased on CDBaby, will go directly to the Red Cross.

If you don't have a copy yet, now is the perfect time to do so. Not only will you get some pretty darn cool music, but you'll be helping those less fortunate as well.

If you already have a copy, feel free to buy an additional copy for your friends and family. :-) Those in the south will appreciate it, and so will we.

If you already have a copy, and you don't want another one, you can still help out by going to CDBaby and browsing through a special selection of thousands of other independent artists that are making the same charitable contributions.

It's a win-win situation!
